Newark, NJ – Thibaut takes a fresh, updated approach at Toile with its new "Toile Resource II" collection. The collection is an expansion on the things best loved about Toile.
It includes historical and traditional themes, but also offers new studio designs that are bold and graphic, with bright, simple color statements.
Unique designs include "Nautilus," presenting a sea life theme with large, elegant bouquets of shells, seaweed, delicate sea fans, coral, and sea horses. In fun color combinations like aqua and pink, soft green and coral,
the design is ideal for coastal homes or in bathrooms and children's rooms. "Tropical Toile," designed with large-scale rooms in mind, shows varieties of orchids, palms, and pineapple plants set against a fabric-textured background.
The style of drawing is subtle and simplistic, while the large scale of the design offers grandeur. "Oriental Toile," another new design from the Thibaut studio, has a framed layout and graphic impact with
alternating negative and positive effects of color. The design features fanciful, detailed pagodas part of an imaginary chinoiserie garden temple. Lastly,
the "Carnival," taken from engravings, embraces childhood memories with a park-like setting featuring clowns, a carnival wagon, carousel, amusement stands, kites, and hot air balloons.
Along with these fresh, updated patterns, the collection offers traditional countryside scenic toiles; a sophisticated pattern called "Biltmore," with a neoclassic look; a large-scale botanical design called "Posy;" a
sweet "chickadee" pattern called "Isabelle;" and two designs with a woodland feel - "Pedigree," featuring retrievers; and "Torrington," featuring deer, foxes, rabbits, and horses.
Colors in the collection range from classic to fashion's cutting edge. Traditional color combinations are also offered, including deep indigo, brown, yellow, and black. "Toile Resource Volume II" is part of Thibaut's special "Resource" series, in which the Thibaut studio explores a particular design style and compiles patterns with varying colors, sizes, and techniques into one large, convenient volume. These collections are handy for designers and consumers alike.
