Newark, NJ – Thibaut’s newest collection, “Canterbury,”
is a celebration of English gardens. From Dutch topiaries and Romanesque urns to Parisian fountains, the collection showcases
a range of diverse styles and a variety of garden treasures.
Designs include “Marion,” an ornate vertical pattern dressed with lattice-work, berry vines, lemon trees, butterflies, and
birds; and “Hudson,” a dense mix of grapevines, ferns, grasses, and leaves. “Bellevue” is an elegant, tall, two-color
branching pattern with flowers, vines, and birdcages. Replicating the intricacy of an iron gate, “Covington” is
another two-color design with vertical scrollwork and fanciful leaves. “Berkshire,” a subtle tone-on-tone design,
is an open pattern featuring large botanical ferns. The collection contains lighthearted, whimsical designs with wire
flower baskets, tiny garden bugs, and topiary trees. A novelty pattern called “Laundrette” features dainty clotheslines
with colorful articles of clothing hanging out to dry—summery and charmingly-depicted t-shirts, tank-tops, pants, shorts, beach
towels, bikinis, overalls, socks, etc. Throughout the collection there are coordinating striped patterns, trellis designs,
and fabrics.
The collection features a broad range of colors. There are clean, fresh hues like deep strawberry, salmon pink, sky blue,
celadon, grass green, and butter yellow, as well as earthy tones like butterscotch, moss green, olive, mocha, rust, and brick
red.
