Newark, NJ – Whimsical designs and a vivid color palette characterize “Sweet Life,” a new collection from Thibaut that focuses on life’s simple pleasures. Goldfish, polka dots, checks, parasols, daisies, ginger jars, frogs, turtles, and seashells are just some of the enchanting motifs found in the designs. With a youthful look and transitional appeal, wallpapers and fabrics from this collection are well suited for many rooms in the home, including children’s rooms, guest rooms, and powder rooms.

Fishbowl,” inspired by the colorful and melodious paintings of Henri Matisse, is a playful design with goldfish in water-filled vases. The design also features oriental lanterns, jasmine, passion flowers, lily pads, turtles, and butterflies. Gleeful colors occur on white, key lime and coral backgrounds. A coordinating “Mini Check” fabric pattern and “Polka Dot” fabric and wallpaper design is available. The “Polka Dot” design has a whimsical hand-painted look and fabric-textured background.

South Beach,” based on a 1930’s antique textile, is a bold and graphic fabric and wallpaper design with delicate palm fronds and flower buds. The design comes in striking two-tone color combinations of black and white, orange and white, turquoise and white, raspberry and white, and kiwi and white.

Other key designs in the collection include “Window Shopping,” a fun “dressing room” pattern in an array of bright sherbet colors, with a smattering of 30’s style sundresses, hats, pearl strands, pocketbooks, scarves, shoes, fans and parasols; “Batik,” an indoor/outdoor fabric with an Asian-inspired design of elephants, cranes, and llamas; “Happy Frogs,” a trailing vine pattern with petite and happy frogs leaping from branches; “Fruits de Mer,” a scalloped-edge tile pattern adorned with painted turtles, crabs, lobsters, coral, and sea shells; “Picking Flowers,” an open design with fresh cut zinnias, poppies, daisies and tiger lilies; and “Sheffield,” an open whimsical design with white porcelain jars, perfume bottles, and trinket boxes. The jars have a painted look, and are set against a linen-textured background in vibrant color combinations of coral and blue, yellow and blue, aqua and spring green, candy pink and green, and lime and raspberry.

The collection also offers more traditional designs such as “Georgetown,” a large-scale Jacobean with a watercolor look, in fresh colors such as periwinkle, tangerine, and watermelon; and “Medley,” a pattern with beautiful Asian countryside vignettes framed with bamboo and latticework, on butter, light blue, celery green, and raspberry grounds.
