Newark, NJ – Thibaut’s new “Castle Pine” Collection has been designed with an eye towards the outdoors and
high style. Wallpaper and fabric designs include woodland motifs and beautiful renderings of animals and forestry. The rich color palette is warm and inviting and reflects the calming side of nature.
“Cumberland,” a large-scale design, features stately herons and whooping cranes posed along the coastline amid cattails and water
lilies. Cinammon, basil, ginger, coffee bean, and black appear as background colors. A delicate twig trellis design coordinates with this pattern and its colorways. Another prominent pattern,
“Telluride,” features twig-framed portraits of majestic elk, bear, mountain goats and deer. The design has a soft, mottled background,
and the frames are adorned with tiny oak leaves. A complimentary woolen plaid design coordinates with this pattern, as does “Evergreen,”
a large-scale open design with tossed cuttings and pine cones from White Cedar, Douglas Fir, Bishop Pine, and Great Sequoia conifer trees.
“Chestnut,” a tone-on-tone damask, features stylized silhouettes of horses, deer, and animals of the American West. The
design has a woven fabric-like effect, and is available in a cumin color, cranberry, cinnamon, and chestnut brown. Another damask in the collection, “Morton
Damask,” captures the look of a luxurious tapestry design. The pattern is Edwardian in design and feel, and has a delicate “needlework” appearance interlaced with rich combinations of gold, peach,
chestnut, pink, mustard, sage, rosemary, olive, cinnamon, and parsley.
“Golf” and “Equestrian” are
distinguished designs with a masculine, country-club feel. “Golf” presents framed vignettes from historic courses
across the globe, while “Equestrian” depicts horses and skilled riders participating in foxhunts, leisurely rides
and steeplechases. The scenes are from stables and farms in the American Northeast famous for equestrian events. “Equestrian” appears on cream, chestnut, black, and a striking scarlet
background. “Golf” also has earthy background colors including parsley green and chili red.
“Castle Pine” also features a traditional toile design and an Arts and Crafts Style wallpaper and fabric duo. “Pheasant
Toile” is a branching, twining design with graceful flowers and fauna. It has the intricacy and charm of a detailed engraving. “St.
James,” an English reproduction fabric, pairs as a coordinate with “Asheville,” an Arts and Crafts Style wallpaper with
stylized flowers and berries. The two come in combinations of wheat, mustard and cranberry; chestnut, cinnamon and gold; mineral blue, wheat and ginger; and moss, gold and cinnamon.
This new Thibaut collection contains numerous fabrics which are ideal for use on furniture, pillows, draperies, bedding, etc. Some are heavier weight linen and cotton blends. Tone-on-tone fabric
designs are also unique to the collection.
