Newark, NJ – Thibaut’s new “Small
Print Resource Volume II” is filled with little delights. Versatile,
dynamic and charming patterns range from demure floral designs to chic
novelty prints. Each pattern in this collection is in itself a grand design—just
presented in a smaller-scale package.
Pedigree dogs
are the highlight of “Best
in Show,” where dalmations, greyhounds,
Jack Russell terriers, poodles, boxers, and daschunds proudly exhibit their distinctive
profiles. The design occurs in a striking combination of aqua and bronze,
and camel and black, with metallic shadows that enhance each canine silhouette. The
pattern is cleverly paired with a leopard print fabric called “Cat’s
Meow.” Another playful design, “Duds,” is dotted with
polo shirts, shorts, dresses, skirts, sweaters, jeans, coats, bikinis and pairs
of socks. The pattern is ideal for laundry rooms; the clothing articles
are illustrated with a loose, painterly hand, giving the design a look that’s
informal, but still upscale. Colorways include cornflower blue and white
on an apple green ground, and grassy green and white on a light pink ground.
The collection also includes “Sea
Shell,” featuring bouquets
of delicate coral, nautilus, scallop, and conch shells; “Clarence
Trail,” adorned
with embroidered-looking vines over a linen-textured background; and “Doolittle,” presenting
tiny vignettes of woodland animals—squirrels, ducks, rabbits, dragonflies,
roosters, birds and butterflies. This latter design is featured on a vivid
raspberry ground.
Traditional
floral, lattice, and medallion-type patterns can also be found throughout the
collection. Some have hints of a linen, woven, or polka-dot texture in
the background, which add dimension and interest. The designs are perfect
for kitchens, guest rooms, powder rooms, laundry areas, and other places in the
home as coordinates to bolder wallpaper and fabric patterns.
