Newark, NJ – Thibaut has introduced “Seaside,” a collection of beachy, carefree coastal designs. Ideal for shore homes and cottages, the wallpaper and fabric motifs include shells, tiny fish, beach and underwater scenes, and tropical foliage. The color palette features summery brights like grass green, sky blue, lime, and strawberry, as well as soft hues of light blue, aqua, taupe, kelp green, and sand.

Tidal Pool,” a large-scale floral layout, creates the feeling of being underwater as seaweed, sea fans, tiny fish, and seahorses rock in the gentle waves of the current. The pattern is available in soft color combinations on aqua, cream, and brown backgrounds. The colors coordinate well with interior and exterior stone finishes.

Fanfare,” a loosely-drawn Jacobean, has a “spirited” look with its fun, freestyle technique and bright color duos like lime and strawberry. Another dramatic pattern, “Monterey,” features large seashells carefully placed in a geometrical layout. The conch, cone, snail, scallop, and tulip shells are illustrated with intricate detail over a speckled background—an interpretation of pebbly sand. The design comes in beachy combinations of coral and gold, green and blue, cobalt and navy, and is available in a durable 100% acrylic indoor/outdoor fabric, suitable for outdoor furnishings. The fabric is lightfast and mold-, mildew- and stain-resistant.

Inspired by impressions from a seaside vacation, “Festiva” has festively-colored shapes and outlines of palm trees, parrots, mermaids, flamingos, flip flops, pineapples, sailboats, and other subjects. The outlines are done with a playful, wiggly hand that mimics the look of embroidery. In contrast to this, the floral design “Sonora” features realistically-drawn palms and tropical foliage. The foliage appears in natural and earthy shades of green on black, cream, smoky beige, and brown backgrounds.

Sweet, fragrant flowers climb and droop in “Honeysuckle,” a large-scale vining pattern. The design has a classic Cape Cod look and is pictured on blue, raspberry, and yellow grounds. Sunny colors are also found in “Flamingo Bay,” a grand tropical floral design featuring parrots, flamingos, hibiscus, alligators, and turtles. The fabrics for these two designs make beautiful coordinates for draperies, pillows, and upholstery.

A damask pattern, “Swept Away,” incorporates shapes of seahorses, crabs, scallop shells and sea fans. It has a soft, watery texture and comes in tonal shades of aqua, blue, coral, gold, and sand, which complement other designs in the book. “Kelp” and “Something Fishy” appear in similar colorways. “Kelp” is an open layout with bits of sea kelp, sea lettuce, and other marine plant life on white and cream backgrounds. The plants have a brushed watercolor effect, with deeper color stippled over the top. “Something Fishy” is a whimsical design with tiny crabs, eels, flounder, seahorses, sea turtles, and lobsters. Bubbles and wavy lines illustrate the feel of the current.
