To best view this site, have monitor set to display Millions of Colors or True Colors (24 bit or higher). Click "Start" in windows, go to Settings, click "Control Panel." Brightness

Some monitors are either too bright or too dark, so you will not be able to view images in the highest quality. Adjust the brightness, the controls (sometimes shown as + and - signs) are on the front or display side of the monitor.

Contrast

You may need to adjust the contrast. Too little and images maybe dull and gray, too much and they can look washed out, with the light colors appearing almost white and dark colors nearly black. To adjust the contrast the control is usually located on the front or display side of the monitor. You should modify contrast and brightness together to produce the highest possible quality image.

Lighting

The lighting in the room you view your screen plays a large part in how images and color appear on your monitor. Try to match your room lighting with the lighting on your monitor: if the room lighting is dark, the monitor may appear to be exceptionally bright and wash out the images. If the room is bright, the monitor display may appear dimmer than it is.
