EBRU EMBROIDERY

  • Pattern name EBRU EMBROIDERY

The name “Ebru” is Turkish and stands for a marbling technique that was invented in the thirteenth century. Marbling is an art that is created by putting pigment into oil and then taking a tool to swirl it around. Paper is then placed on top and lifted up. What transfers to the paper is a repetition of unique shapes of blended colors.
