Wallpaper
How are Thibaut wallpapers sold?
Thibaut and Anna French wallpapers are priced and sold by the single roll but packaged in double-roll bolts. Please refer to the specfications tab on each product page for exact roll length, width and match information.
What types of wallpaper substrates do you offer?
We offer a broad range of substrates, including:
- •Grasscloth, cork and natural weaves
- •Performance, heavy duty vinyl and wide width contract-approved wallcoverings
- •Non-woven and paper
- •Specialty textures and prints

Can I order wallpaper samples?
Yes, wallpaper samples are available exclusively for our trade customers and can be ordered online from each product page or through your local designers and showrooms. Larger size samples are available for a small fee.
How do I calculate how much wallpaper I need?
You can use our Wallpaper Calculator. or consult with your professional installer for the most accurate estimate based on the dimensions of your space and the selected wallcovering specifications.
Are Thibaut wallpapers washable?
Washability varies by substrate:
- •Performance vinyls: scrubbable, wipeable with mild soap and water
- •Grasscloth & natural weaves: spot clean and lightly dust only
- •Paper & non-woven: gently wipe as directed
Always follow the care instructions found in the hanging instruction document linked on every product detail page. All purchased wallcoverings are packaged with hanging and care instructions.
Do your wallpapers require professional installation?
Yes, we strongly recommend professional installation for all wallcoverings, however you will find hanging instructions on every wallpaper product page and in your packaged rolls.

What is the minimum fabric order?
Fabric orders have a 2-yard minimum.
Can I order fabric samples?
Yes, exclusively available to our trade customers, fabric samples can be ordered online from each fabric product page or through your local designers and showrooms. Larger size samples are avilable for a small fee.
Are your fabrics suitable for upholstery and drapery?
Each fabric is labeled with its recommended use (upholstery, sheer, drapery, multipurpose) along with durability information such as rub counts where applicable on every product page.
Do Thibaut fabrics meet performance standards?
Our Performance fabrics are designed to meet or exceed standard durability and cleanability benchmarks. See each product page for specific performance details.
Trim
What types of trim do you carry?
Our trim offerings include tapes, cords, fringes, scallops and decorative pom-poms designed to coordinate with our fabrics and wallcoverings.
Is there a minimum order for trim?
Yes, trim orders have a 2-yard minimum.
Can I order trim samples?
Yes, trim memo samples are available online with a trade login or available through your local showroom.
Rugs
What rug constructions does Thibaut offer?
Thibaut AREAS unveils space-defining rugs that are suitable for both indoor and outdoor spaces, and available with custom sizing. The assortment features sophisticated herringbone, playful nautical stripes, and subtle patterned solids made from wool, wool blends, and durable 100% PET.
Are rugs customizable in size or color?
While the color or pattern style of your rug is not customizable, all AREAS rugs are custom cut to order and guaranteed for delivery within just 10 days.
How long do custom rugs take to produce?
Production time is approximately 10 days from receipt of payment or 30 days if hand serge is requested. AREAS rug orders cannot be placed without a valid contact name and phone number for delivery. Rug orders are non-cancellable & non-returnable once payment has been received.
Can I order rug samples or swatches?
Yes, rug swatch samples are available to trade customers online with your trade account login for a small fee or through your local designers and showrooms.
Furniture
Does Thibaut offer custom furniture options?
Yes. Many furniture frames can be custom upholstered in your choice of Thibaut or Anna French fabrics, with additional options for trims and details on select pieces. We additionally offer customizeable-by-the-inch Occassional grasscloth wrapped frames. What is the typical lead time for furniture?
Custom furniture lead times are generally 8–12 weeks, depending on frame/fabric selection and current production schedule. Additionally we offer our Quick Ship program that guarantees furniture delivery within four weeks. The offering includes over 20 frames with a choice of 25 Thibaut performance fabrics and five wood finishes. Learn more about Thibaut Fine Furniture here
Is your furniture made in the USA?
Our frames are expertly constructed to last with top quality materials, including kiln dried hardwoods, double-coil cone springs, angled corner-blocked joints, spring-down seat cushions, a 14-step finishing process, four-way pattern matching and more.
Samples
How do I order samples?
The fastest way to place samples is on the Thibaut website. If you are not yet registered with a design trade website profile, please do so here Samples may also be placed through our Client Experience team or a trade showroom near you.
How quickly do samples ship?
All in-stock memos ship Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), from our Charlotte, NC distribution center within 48 hours if processed before 12 noon EST.
Is there a limit to how many samples I can order?
Yes, products may have sampling limits based on availability. Any restrictions will appear at checkout or on the product page. Note, items on limited inventory will no longer have samples available on the shelf or to order online, however a cutting for approval reserve is permitted on remaining stock.

How do I place an order for Thibaut products?
Order Online: The Thibaut website is a designer’s resource that makes online product ordering abreeze! With a Thibaut website login, you can: •Order wallcoverings, fabrics, trims, and area rugs •Place CFA and reserve orders •Track your order and view online order history •Download quotes and other helpful forms •Check price and stock •Multiple team members can register for a website profile to access orders under your Thibaut account. If you have not registered your Thibaut profile online, visit the Account Registration page to create a login for you or your team. Additionally you may order through our Client Experience team or Designers and Showrooms: Thibaut has six flagship showrooms and is available in several trade showrooms throughout the US. Can I check the status of my order online?
Yes, our trade customers can view order status, history, and tracking details under My Account → Orders when logged in.
Do you offer reserves or holds on product?
Ye, design trade customers may place reserves/holds on in-stock items online for a limited time.
Do you ship internationally?
Thibaut products are distributed internationally through our network of global showrooms and distributors. For information about your region, please contact Customer Service or your local Thibaut representative.
Can I check inventory online?
Yes with a trade login you may view inventory in addition to retail and net pricing. Thibaut proudly maintains 95% of all stock at all times in our Charlotte, NC distribution center. In the event your item is on backorder, you will be notified at the time of checkout the current availability. Backorder ETAs may also be located on the product page notes. Returns & Exchanges
Can I return wallpaper, fabric, trim, rugs, or furniture?
Double rolls of wallpaper are returnable with a return authorization (RA) within 30 days of invoice date if unopened. Thibaut Fabric is only returnable if defective or sent erroneously. Thibaut AREAS and Thibaut Fine Furniture are custom and are not returnable unless there are non-repairable defects in quality or construction. Requests for return and/or exchanges are reviewed carefully by our quality control team.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
If you receive damaged, defective, or incorrect product, please contact our Client Experience team as soon as possible with your order number, photos, and details so we can assist with a replacement or claim. If the return is for any other reason, the amount of the return freight is deducted from the amount of the credit due. Please include your RA number on the outside of the package as well as on the inside. All accepted, non-defective returns are subject to a 25% restocking charge.
Care & Cleaning
How do I clean Thibaut wallpaper?
Care depends on the substrate:
- Vinyl & performance: wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap solution
- Grasscloth & natural weaves: dust gently; avoid excessive moisture
- Paper & non-woven: lightly wipe as directed on the label
Always follow the cleaning instructions included with your specific wallcovering hanging instructions, also available on every product detail page.
How do I care for Thibaut fabrics?
Cleaning codes (such as W, S, WS, X) appear on each fabric product page. We recommend following these guidelines and, when in doubt, consulting a professional cleaner.
How do I maintain Thibaut rugs?
Vacuum regularly, attend to spills promptly to extend the life of your rug and protect underlying flooring. Specific care instructions vary by construction and are provided on every product detail page for each style.
Sustainability
Does Thibaut offer sustainable products or materials?
Yes. Our Ethos assortment features fabrics made with at least 30% recycled fibers and includes both synthetic and natural fibers. We prioritize organic, recycled, and responsibly harvested materials wherever possible.
